With a history of making quality abrasives since the late 1800’s, Norton introduced the Bear-Tex® brand of non-woven abrasive products in 1958 for the floor maintenance market. From its original site in Troy, New York, USA to Reynosa, Mexico in 1988, Norton dedicated itself to providing the highest quality, best performing products at an exceptional value.
Serving the floor maintenance market needs and its rapid changes, Norton signified its long term commitment by enhancing the manufacturing capabilities with new machinery in early 1993 and again in 2000. This unique state-of-the-art process improved web resiliency, increased tensile strength and overall integrity of the non-woven products.
In early 2000 Norton opened a state-of-the art 400,000 square foot distribution center located in Plainfield, Indiana. The strategic placement of this facility enables Norton to provide excellent service of shipping stock orders faster and with reduced transit times to the customer.
Today through pride of innovation and experience, Norton manufactures premium performing products from conventional floor pads to high speed burnishing pads, including accessory items, and a complete line of floor sanding abrasives, Norton is your “first choice” in floor finishing needs.
